This order was my final modern order for 2005. For those that slam moderns you won't appreciate the time and the tens of 1000's of coins searched to find the highlighted coins above. 2005 was a very tough year for modern business strike "hunters." I believe in years to come 2005 will be looked back upon as one of toughest years in the modern era to find Gem business strikes. Well I'm done with 2005....on to hunting for 06 gems!!!

Very nice grades. Not to rain on your parade or anything but I personally know of a MS67 and MS69 business strike Bison so I know that your 3/1 population figure cannot be correct.

Chris, trust me, I can appreciate the effort that goes into the search. It is boggling to think of the hours spent mulling over the best of the group then eliminating them, then narrowing it down to the final selection.

I didn't see any lincolns there, did I ? hmmmm... I guess they are all Satin Finish this year.

There are quality Biz strike Lincolns but I didn't find any in the rolls I searched. All the rolls I went through had spots or were from extremely worn dies. I encourage all the budget collectors to keep looking at the Lincolns as there are GEMs to be found and the Lincoln collectors are rabid about their pennies!!! I also encourage Roosie hunters to keep searching but good luck finding FSB examples in 67 plus as 75%+ were nowhere close to full bands......I guess the Mint used the roosie dies till they self destructed. It certainly is tough and I highly respect you for searching for these gems. I too believe that in time these will become highly sought after. I'm just glad PCGS did not mistake yours for satin finish pieces. Keep up the good work manorcoutman.image!

WTG Chris. I mirror your experiences with searching 2005's. They physically beat the flip out of them at the mint last year! image
