2006 SAE'S

Just went through 4 rolls of these, and not one worth getting slabbed. Lots of hits on obverse on most. Hope everyone else has better luck.

The things were minted in october or even earlier according to another post so unless the green monster box was mint sealed smoeone could have searched them. I sorta wondered about that when looking thru my roll last year.

I think I would mark up the coins just taking them out of the platic roll. I've never tried to take my sae's out of their roll.

Are they still packed in the tubes as tight as they have been in recent years?

If you didn't pop the strap yourself chances are good they were searched IMO. 70's bring to much to pass the opp. Tubes are not taped sealed at the mint if that was wondered. Lesson learned and burned.

Unless you are a pro just going through them you prob will lose any chance of a 70.

The ones in our sealed case showed lots of tiny strike-thrus all over them, which come out as shiny spots against the grainy field.

Looked at 10 rolls so far, still not even a MS69,too many hits. Case was sealed, strapped.

I just looked at a number of them to pick mine out and lots of tiny nicks and so forth.....

    Kinda of disappointing.....

  • I have looked at the whole box (25 rolls) of these and I have picked out 9 to send in for certification! The rest had specks, hits all over obverse, reverse hits as well but not as bad. Again I hope everyone else has better luck.

Good year for A-Mark and PCGS to start their joint program of financing the American Eagles for dealers ($50,000+ orders) for slabbing, huh? image
I bet that leads to quite a few screwed up MS69s in holders though image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
