New copy stand = improved images. Your comments please.

I finally got a proper copy stand and the results are better. Take a look:

And now a question: the first Kennedy image was taken using my camera's digital zoom and the second was not. Which image looks better to you?

    The first image looks better, but because of the better exposure and focus, and not because of the digital zoom. The effects caused by digital zoom are in all likelihood removed when you downsize/downsample the images...Mike

    These images were taken with a Samsung Digimax 301 that I bought at WalMart for about $100 well over a year ago. Uber cheap camera that I'm sure I'll be upgrading upon soon.

    Mike, good point about the zoom. Hadn't considered that.
