2 NEWP Morgans - OGH... Opinions?

BlindedByEgoBlindedByEgo Posts: 10,754 ✭✭✭✭✭
A buddy of mine just came back from buying an estate and bought some OGH's... Two caught my eye, so I bought 'em. Still working on my photo skills, let me know what you think. No grade the coin game here, but I really think that the 03 has a shot at 65 - 1 small hit on the lower chin.. It's a gorgeous coin in hand.

I was just cruising http://www.robjoyce.com and came to the same conclusion. He states that it's I-2 R-6. R-6 is good, isn't it?

    3 questions:

1- Is it worth reholdering for attribution
2- Do you think it's got a shot at upgrade
    3- Does an I-2 R-6 carry a premium.

As you can tell, I'm not into crack... Yet image

Any coin rated R-6 is a a good one.

The '03-O looks awfully nice for a 64. I' say you made some nice Morgan purchases!
    When in doubt, don't.

    1. It's not a Top 100 or Hot 50, PCGS with not attribute it. Keep it in the OGH.

    2. I don't think it will upgrade. Keep it in the OGH.
(Are you seeing a pattern hereimage)

    3. It only carries a premium if someone is willing to pay one. Quite honestly, unless it is a Top 100 or Hot 50, you are not likely to get much a of a premium. But you will get kudos for the coolness factorimage

The 1903-o has a definite upgrade shot, if not for the cheek marks it would grade very high. The other looks to be graded appropriately.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
