NGC XF45 VAM-27 Long Nock, cross at 45. I expected an easy cross.

2 02311828 1879-S $1 Reverse of 1878 VAM 51 USA MS62 image
ANACS MS62. This is a rare vam. I expected 61 due to the amount of chatter, so I'm very happy
with 62.

Old ANACS MS60, now the finest known Donkey Tail in a PGCS holder. Woo-Hoo!

4 02311830 1887-O $1 VAM 22A USA MS61 image
Old ANACS MS61, actually Pitted Reverse with vam-22B with clashed G. Very tough coin to find
in any grade. The new elite clashed morgan dollars calls this a 4 figure coin in MS.

5 02311831 1921-D S$1 USA DNC image
Old SEGS 62PL TRUT coin with a cross at 60 on the form. I wonder if they thought I meant 60PL ?

Found some with die cracks. No donkey tails. No alligator eyes.
some have die cracks that follow all around the letters. This one also shows cracking around the top of most of the letters. With A well defined crack. from above the S in states through the right wing tip. it follows above the O in of and turning up slightly through the F in of and past through the wing tip, finishing at the rim before the A in America. what do you think?
Since all the die cracks are from the same original roll.
Others are close to this. But clearly the most defined is from the later, of the die crack.

    IS THIS A NEW VAM?
I could only locate 4 vam types in the pcgs vam att.
    vam 1 ,2 ,5, 12...

    Glavin,

Cracks are common and don't get a vam designation; only die breaks (lumps of metal)
    get a vam.

However (there are always exceptions) -

If there are cracks through the middle (not top or bottom) of 887 on the date; like the photo
below, that could be an indicator of a Weak E clashed reverse...a very rare coin.

thanks, I didnt see any cracks near the 1887.
    Most were on the reverse...
