How many of you find live ammo when you are detecting? I find most of my on school grounds with parks in second place. I have found everything from 22's to 30-06.
I find it occasionally. Got a .45 round at one demo site, and another in an old cemetery. Occasionally some .22 rounds dropped by hunters, when I'm out in the boonies.
Yep, sure do... Several rounds this last summer. Mainly small caliber but a few larger ones too. That's a main reason I'm reluctant to use the screwdriver method for digging, particularly at certain locations..
Minelab: GPX 5000, Excalibur II, Explorer SE. White's: MXT, PI Pro
I live near Fort Ord, a former US Army post. Part of it is now an open space park and I go walking there sometimes. I have found old ammunition there just laying on the ground.

I think they are 30-30. I don't know what I did with them at this point. This is my post from May of "04"

I will look for the sock, and see what I had.
