You can get bigger pics from e-bay but they charge extra.

It is much better to use a free hosting service like photobucket and just put the html tag in your auction text. This will link to your picture and show the actual size no matter how big it is.

That pic in the auction is linked externally. It's not hosted through ebay. They changed it to shrink it. I can only guess that it's because they want me to pay extra for their picture service. ...ant gonna happen. I'll need to spend some time putting links in my auctions to the pics. ....what a pain in the........

The pic may be linked externally but it is not appear to be in the html code of the auction. It looks to be using e-bay picture service with an external link instead of uploading the image.

When building the auction there is an option to look at in html view. This is where you would copy the photobucket html code into the auction. If this was already done then it is news to me that they started editing this kind of thing.

    Hope this helps.
  • My externally hosted pictures remain exactly as I posted them.
  • When I look at your auction I see the smaller eBay photo, but I see your large images just above them and they appear to be the same size as the one you posted on the forum.

I agree. The larger photos in the auction have the same properties (71K) as the ones in your post here.

That's because he revised the listing and fixed the problem.
