What are these clipped planchet bufallo nickels worth?

I know they are minor clips. I haven't had time to remove the PVC from the 2nd nickel. Any idea on value?

These also have readable dates...1927 and 1935. I paid more than $5 each so I hope your wrong.image

I don't see too much demand for this. If it were a higher grade there may be a small bump in price to the right collector.

There are a bunch of obsolete type coins with clips listed on eBay at the moment. I wasn't really paying too much attention to them, except to notice that there were a lot of them. I don't know if there were any buffs, but it's quick to check, and then to look back in a week and see what they sold for...

The top coin looks like damage to me, I'd need to see the obverse to be sure. The bottom coin is definitely a genuine clip, I assume it is the 1935.

The genuine clip is worth $3-$10 depending on how motivated and how many interested bidders you get. In my experience 1935 is the most common date for a Buffalo clip, so there's no bump in value for the date.

jonathanb: I haven't noticed any more obsolete clips on eBay than usual, but your comment makes me want to go double-check.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.
