My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Is there a registry for double denom error strikes? This is the first I have seen.

Some heavy hitters are in on that coin. Before I looked I guessed $800-1,000 for a final hammer, it's well on the way there already. I've seen them advertised by some dealers for low four figures.

Double-denominations are known for many years, most of the ones I've seen have been dated 1997 or 1998. There are several of both inthe ANACS pop report. As braddick noted, it's rare for both dates to clearly show, usually more of the dime detail is obliterated by the cent dies. Rarest of all are dual denominations with two different years, I've seen at least one 1998-P cent struck on a 1997-P dime, and they are known for other dates as well.

Lastly - good for the seller for running his auction like a man - started that baby at $1.00 with no reserve.
