I got this 1996 Washington in change the other day. It jumped out at me because it looked like it was just minted. to the naked eye it's very nice. I did notice the lines around the edge, but other than that it sure looks nice without magnification.

What's the proper term for the lines radiating out to the rim?

I believe those are called "flow lines"

Yep, AU 58 late die state. The lighting angle makes it stand out neatly.

Die fatigue lines.

Or, if you sell it on EBay, you can call it a "with rays" quarter and make something up about how they used a die from 1853 by mistake
