I am continually impressed with the customer service at ANR
There are frequently posts discussing the quality of ANR's cataloging, research, etc. There are also posts with stories of the superior customer service that ANR offers. Occasionally there is some negativity toward dealers in general on these boards, so I think it is nice to continue to post good experiences with dealers.
This morning I ordered a book from ANR as a present for my nephew (a coin collector). I ordered it online, and for security purposes, ANR does not take credit card numbers over the internet. Literally about 10 minutes later, I got a call from Amy at ANR, and she very pleasantly confirmed my order and took my card number. She confirmed my shipping address, and because it was a Christmas present, she made sure that I would receive it in time to give to my nephew (she even asked if I would have to mail it to my nephew or give it to him in person, further making sure that there would be enough time for him to get the book). I even asked to have the book personalized by QDB himself, and I think my nephew will get a kick out of that. Cool stuff!
I deal with relatively few dealers (and in the grand scheme of things I am a very little fish), but I am continually impressed with the customer service at ANR, Mark Feld, DLRC, and Pinnacle. Keep up the good work.

Oh, for those that cannot stand complimentary threads about dealers, my regrets (hehe).
I think it's telling that when the old firm left Wolfeboro in 2003, we all hung in to form this new team. We could have gone elsewhere, worked for another firm, etc. but we work well enough together and enjoy each other's company enough that no one flinched at the idea of starting anew together. That includes everyone from the people who ship the books and take phone orders all the way up to the top offices.
In general, I think that most dealers (and most auction houses) try to offer good customer service. In time, all who read this who have had negative interactions with dealers will probably find one or a few dealers whose personality etc. is just right, or at least I hope so. We try to treat everyone as a "friend of the firm" and I think there is a long list of dealers who have the same sort of outlook towards present or potential customers.

Edit: I do like ANR.

With all due respect, nothing could be further from the truth....Mike
Those are two very good points. Why have an adversarial relationship with a dealer/customer when you can have am amicable one? Some people seem to prefer the former.
