WOW -- Plastic case non-CC GSA -- two bids over $3000

In the last couple of days a 03-O non-CC GSA in the plastic case went for $3833. There were two bidders
that bid over $3300. These non-CC GSA dollars are being sought by a very passionate and determined
group of collectors.

Oops -- my tupe mistake -- the high bid was $3383 not $3833.

The auction was ebay and the lot # is 8360599524 -- it was difficult to get a good look to check the condition -- particularly the marks on Liberty's cheek.
  • For that coin the condition probably isn't that important. Many of the "GSA" collectors try to acquire one of every known date and mint combination known in GSA holders. There probably aren't very many 1903-O dollars in GSA holders so if one shows up and you can afford to, you buy it.
