i am going to target strictly no motto half eagles.

the first? hm. how about an 1853 or 1847 P half eagle in AU.
  • nice way to start off the year.

i was looking at $2.50 1893 and 1896 MS 62/MS61 respectibly. but im working on trying to control myself DJW has a NICE $10 gold coin (1907 $10 MS62/63 PCGS has it at MS62).i believe that was 495 if my first place bails on a nice combo price *(I think from 870 to 800(maybe 825 if i like the coins that much) is fair). if it doesnt I go back to DJW. sigh. im having a hard time holding back on buying when the MS62's ive been seeing are so clean. if they were low end 62s i can see waiting but these are high 62s maybe some a low 63. cant hold back sometimes.

5th Start getting my coins for my 7070 set

that is the the coin I am giong to get in order
  • Not sure yet what my first 2006 coin will be. I'd like to finish my Franklin Album, and Roosie Album....but other than that nothing special.
  • Great question, I would answer by saying that is will be most likely something to go in my 2005 mint set. My first major coin purchase next year will probably be a 1909 S VDB in ms65 or better. I have been wanting one of those since I was 12 and now I should have the means to own one.image

Whatever shows up at FUN. Most likely a toned morgan or proof Indian cent, as those are the two types which I most actively persue for my collection.

Hard to say. I am still working on 2005. One coin I would like to obtain in 2005 is the 1929 Half Eagle while the prices are still reasonable. Someday people will realize how many of these got melted as it has one of the lowest pops in Indian Half Eagles at both PCGS and NGC.
  • 200 box of silver maple leafes.

First- get a couple rolls of SAE's and a few PAE's.

Then after reading and admiring all of the Dansco 7070 sets you all are working on, I'm going to start one. This'll be the first time in about 15 years I'll be collecting for collectings sake. Last set was Indian cents that took 15 years to complete!(started when I was 9. found an 1885 behind the baseboard of a house my Dad was hanging wallpaper.)

I'm sure I will find some nice upgrades to my incomplete set of Capped Bust Half Dimes (by die marriage) at the FUN show. I'd like to add one of the four die marriages that I don't have at some point during 2006.

That is an absolutely impossible question for a VAM cherrypicker to answer. When Teletrade posts its New Year's Day lots, I'll have a pretty good idea of some candidates though.
