Baltimore report-Sat

Will this will not be as long and detaled as some but I wanted to add mine into the mix. It was a nice show for me but by 3 PM is was a goast town, If anyone had plans to come today they will be surprised. Had a good drive up with my son from Virgina Beach and met up with the group before going in, great to see tootawl, merc, and a few other I have not seen in awhile.
Turned my son lose ( he's 34 o-kay step son ) and went looking. Found the normal stuff but I was looking for raw Kennedys for my free grading's that I have coming must have looked at a few hundred but only found one real nice onr that I would call 65 or 66 it was a 1965 but it was all most to nice then it dawned on me that this coin had broken frost on it I believe ( okay I knew ) it was a SMS coin but I picked it up any way.
Meet the group for lunch but we went out on our own and ended up at Hooters
.
After lunch it was back and a sit down with my son and a leason on cleaned coins ( shine + lots of wear + no mint luster=cleaned ) and then it was back to pickup my nice type 1 buff in PCGS MS64 that will work nice for my Type set.
I stopped by J H Cline's table to talk Standing Liberity Quarter's and work out a game plan for adding a type one and two to my type set, he showed me allot and went out of his way despite being busy, I most likly will be getting my SLQ's from them.
Overall it was a good show did not pick up any Kennedys except the raw SMS coin but hey for 2.00 bucks no big deal.
I have learned from past shows that the dealers that have the sign's " We buy it all " or something along those line's still turn blue in the face when you offer them anything PCGS graded in the modern era and it's still the case if you say you buy it all but don't then put that on your sign.
The Drive home was great me and my son talked coins all the way home and I think he learned a few leasons today from the dealers he talked to and from dear old dad.

Is was good to meet you and your son briefly before your Hooters lunch.
Sounds like you both had a great time.

I was there all day Saturday. It was rather busy until the late afternoon. The busiest table was one in the center back that had 4 large tubs of low end coins. Very few dealers have lost cost coins at these large shows. I had to wait until the afternoon before getting in there. I was able to buy 15 nice starter coins for the kids in my coin club. We are starting a kids' attendance prize so I needed a few to give away.

Those tables with the junk boxes seemed to have a constant flow of heavy traffic. I like to browse those boxes sometimes (if time permits, just for fun) but never did due to the crowd. I doubt there were any unsearched treasures in there but it didn't stop people from looking. Go figure.... Note to dealers - want table traffic? Bring a junk box!
