Question about the new Franklin Commemorative of 2006

The new Franklin Commemoratives are due to be released in early 2006 -- one dollar coin of a younger Ben and an 2nd dollar coin of an older Ben. Do you think the new Franklin Commemoratives will generate any collector interest in the forsaken 1948-1963 Frankin half dollar? Aside from FBL and MS65+ coins, I've always considered the Franklin half a bargan and wonder when or if they will ever become a hot item.

You never know. I am about ready to get my first Franklin FBL MS66 with nice rainbows this week for a type set. Hope it does take off.

Are there any pictures of them yet?

I wouldn't think a commem would spur any interest in the regular coins, but you never know.

Did the Eisenhower commem spur interest in Ike dollars?
