Franklin and Kennedy Collectors:

I assume that if Kennedy wasn't assasinated that we would still be minting the Franklin half. How would that change the way you collect?
Would Lucy still love old baldie?
How about you Russ. Do you think you would collect the franklin as avidly as you do the Kennedy half?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

the very next year anyway. Keep in mind that both the dime and quarter were unchanged
until 1998 and the only difference was that most people ended their collections at 1964.
The same would have happened with Franklins no doubt. The clad Franklins would have
been much more ignored than the Kennedys were though. There would probably be some
pretty scarce issues at least in high grade and the denomination may well have been dis-
continued in 1982 when widespread casino usage decreased.
It took a fugly coin like the Kennedy hairyhead to deserve clad!
