1901-o vam 39
The other one is not a Top 100 or Hot 50 coin. But it's rare and sells for a really nice chunk of change...try the 1880's somewhere.

Yes, the 1885 VAM-8 or 22 (Current thinking is they are the same) has a large dash under the second '8', doubling of the inner eagles's wing and is selling for quite a markup. Until recently, it wasn't realized how rare it was. Since vammers began looking for it last year around 10 new specimens have turned up. Still rare, but not quite as rare as once thought. I was told in a PM my $36 cherrypick is worth $500

Jack, post some more details about your cherrypick??? Plastic? Grade? Pics?
BTW - Based on the single image of the wing, nesvt was technically correct in guessing VAM 21. Without the obverse image, VAM 21 or VAM 22 would have been correct. JMHO
The VAM 21 has the doubled reverse die matched with a normal obverse die (no chip under the 8), while the VAM 22 has the doubled reverse die matched with the, yet to be seen and probably non-existant, VAM 8.

Both are raw. The 1900-O/CC VAM-7A is AU58, but lightly cleaned. The 1885 VAM-8/22 is BU, 60-62.
