Question for Merc experts - error coin - photo attached

Just wondering how often the raised dot between "In" and "God" was polished out of the dies on these dimes.

I have no reference materials on these, don't collect them, and I recall that Breen was silent on this.

Maybe it's common?

Die chip will add raised metal... I thought either grease or other fm, or that it'd been polished out

Really would like the opinion and knowledge of a merc guy, maybe I'll ttt it during the week...

Can you post a bigger picture that's a bit more focused? Also, I'd like to see the reverse, if that's OK.

I'll play with the camera later, the 55mm lens on it doesn't quite give me what I need.

But-assuming that it is missing (and you can see that on the pic)- what causes this on Mercs?
