Junk slab advice

OK. So you have a few coins that are in J.U.N.K. slabs. How would you list them on eBay without ripping anyone off , or getting beat up here on the forum?? image

Just like there holdered with no hype. It's up to the buyer to judge the coin IMO.

Crack them out and sell them raw with good photos and accurate descriptions. I have found that the third rate slabs drag the prices way down.

I think that offering accurate descriptions of the coins' qualitys and distractions is important- especially since some distractions will not show up clearly in many people's photos. Let people know what grade you give the coin, in comparison to what grade is on the offending holder.....
My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !
  • Well, if I didn't want to get beat up here for it, I'd have to get a new Ebay account with a different name. Too many folks here know me on Ebay.
As for ripping someone off,......... hey one man's junk slab is another man's treasure.

  • As long as you don't missinterpret the auction or the coin. No harm done IMO.
