I watch CV because when I am up at 4 am with my 2 year old that is about the only thing decent on until Hawaii 5-O comes on...it is entertaining and amazing how much stuff they sell but for the most part it is, IMO, overgraded and overpriced stuff.

  • What channel does Coin Country broadcast on? I've never seen it. I see CV all the time on Shot At Home.

I watch only for some of the history behind some coins or the stories behind others. I dont buy or believe any of the sale spiel that gets spewn about.

Don't take anything they say very seriously. It is entertaining but most of their "facts" are wrong.

They have a website. Their times/channels are posted. I bought some silver bars and rounds from them about a year ago. They've grown since then and seem to have raised their prices IMO. I just watch for education and entertainment now. They do however have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I suppose items can always be returned. I watched last night for several hours. They switch channels at 11pm, and then to a third channel at 1am.

  • Anyone watch Coin Country via the net? Does the video stream buffer quite a bit or does it run smooth? One good thing I must say about Coin Vault is you can watch it for hours via the net without the slightest pause. Shop At Home has some good bandwidth behind them. The Tuesday night coin show on WSS tends to buffer every 15 to 30 seconds, so I gave up on it.

They use hype and charisma to get a non collector fired up to buy something he/she has no idea what he/she is buying.

I wouldn't care to watch all of that, but when/where is Hawaii 5-O on? I have been waiting for the DVD set(s) to come out and woudln't mind a late night fix of McGarrett while I peruse online auction catalogues.

  • Years ago, I fell for one of Coin Vault's "deals"-'nuff said.

    FACTS!

These 2 yayhoos hardly know what that means- I watched one silly morning before hitting the sack and they were pushing the NGC stuff at 2 1/2 X's the FMV or for that matter 4x grey bid!

A set of losers- I watched before ever thinking of buying off of TV- my old man did that - needless to say- this is my 'melt' pile. when it hits 50 or more- I'll sell it off.
