i agree, at least it's something. think ebay lurks these boards.
something else they could do is like a 2-3 week period before any
feedback can be left by either party.

You would not yawn if you had just went through the mess that dragged out for over a month with a ebay buyer. Promise after promise after promise then NARUed and then re-instated and then whining and more whining and finally 5 weeks later a check, which is not in the payment instructions, is received.

    Any little bit helps.

  • I think they should follow their own rules, such as:A power seller must maintain a 98% POS feedback rating.

    best lots on ebay ?

    Definitely not the best feedback.
  • Very good change. Ebay's official mutual agreement/NPB email after the unpaid item process is finished is "You are released from any obligations to the buyer." Why, then, if eBay nullified the transaction, can a NPB still leave feedback?! Very good start.
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."
  • Looks like a good step. Panic sets in when a guy with 0 or 1 feedback, wins an item. They have nothing to lose.

For many of us, the two are strongly linked.

I'd propose weighting the feedback. If you have under 90%, you cannot leave any feedback. Subtract 90 from your feedback score (percentage) and divide by 10. That is what your feedback should be worth. (98.6$ would get 0.86 or 86% of a vote.) If this was simulated using game theory, I am sure it would stablize the system pretty effectively. Of course, smart abusers would find creative ways to corrupt it. A few ideas come to mind. All in all, I think it is not too complicated and would provide something more usable than the simpler one vote for each ebay netizen democracy.

Additionally, don't allow a new user to leave someone feedback until they have at least 10 feedbacks. The shill account ficticious 99 cent sales to build feedback abuses might be curtailed that way.

Are you serious? I have a hard enough time trying to keep up with buyers and sellers feedback. Granted I have not been stung yet but I always try to leave feedback as soon as I receive an item I have purchased and usually leave feedback after receiving payment. But if your selling more than just a couple of items then it could get very messy. JMO mind you.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
