or is it just me? I almost feel like he may be making his own sets! I just think it is odd that he buys one cent cheerios and then sells one with a Sacagawea.
The seller is in Sterling Heights, MI ( Detroit suburb - above Eight Mile Rd ).
This is the epicenter of AutoAmerica. Lots of parts suppliers in the area also. I seem to remember seeing some small auto parts and tools packaged very similar to the Cheerios Coins. Anyone want to bet this guy has heat sealing equipment at work?
it does seem more than a little strange. especially the money involved. at some point it will come down to either only buying from the person that directly pulled it out and can verify or rip them open and look at the reverse. if this is a scam it's bad enough, but even more of a problem is the unsuspecting buyer, who then later decides to sell to another and so on, until no one can trust these cheerios packs.
The nice people at General Mills weren't making their packages tamper-proof, so I would think it would be pretty easy to repackage it with an ordinary Sac $1 - especially with a $1200+ markup
Yes, the seller stole the image of the genuine one and he has the blurry one of his creation. The celophane doesn't line up correctly on his packaging - in the upper left corner his covers the "2000" completley. It's over too far to the left.
You guys are good. I don't know why the government doesn't use you guys to find and capture Bin Laden!!! Oh, I forgot. He's protected by our Saudi "allies".

I'm thinking he decided it wasn't worth going to jail over as its obvious that there are two different photo's and its up into the felony range............
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

I bought three of the Cherrios cents
that look like this
So am I to understand that the Sac was packaged with the cent and not by itself??

It seems too easy for a scumbag seller to fake that packaging. Plus the variety can't be varified since it is on the tailfeathers on the reverse.
Since ANACS (and maybe others) now certify the Cheerios variety/pattern it makes sense to only buy one slabbed.
