eBayer who only leaves feedback for his buyers

and not for those from whom he buys.

Is there a strategy to or reason for that, or is that just kind of a rude thing?

  • i think the strategy might be for people who "flip" things they buy.
    knowing many of us savvy investigators go through feedbacks from previous auctions.
    if you were to stumble on an item and find out he only paid X for it. Then you might be
    less likely to pay Y for it.
    this is just a guess ?

    maybe one reason is to make it a little more difficult to see his purchases when he is flipping them over to resell on ebay.

    I know one dealer that probably has hundreds of transactions on ebay, but only forty or fifty total feedbacks. He is a bit protective of who he buys from as he considers them a great source for rips...go figure.

    I've never done it, but I have thought that it can hurt the ability to get a good rip in the future if you out a seller as having coins much nicer than the pictures show...
