Would you buy from a seller with a very poor ebay feedback rating?

The question was raised, so I thought this topic deserved its own thread.
I will not bid on a coin listed by a seller with excessive negative feedback. What is excessive negative feedback? It doesn't take much especially if recent.
I will not bid on a high-end coin listed by a seller with very little feedback. What is very little feedback? If one of the seller's very first listings is a high-end coin I will not bid even if I really like the coin.
I care about feedback. Don't you?

They could have had a bad run of luck a year ago and gotten several un-warranted negs that would lower their number.
If a seller has a 97% feedback number, but hasn't had a neg in a year (with quite a few feedbacks posted since) i would tend to trust the recent feedback more than the past history.

I'm just curious... Would you buy from a seller with a very poor feedback record? >>
No.
The principal viability of feedback is in respect of sellers IMO. A buyer's feedback does not seem to be very important, other than alerting the seller that the buyer may not honor the transaction.
I've been blocked by a few sellers (mostly because of a complaint I aired on these boards last year), but it is not of concern to me (I've actually asked a few sellers to block me so I don't mistakenly buy from them).
Im a strong Ebay coin buyer, and have been burned a few times in the process. I also will not hesitate to return a coin if I don't like it when received. I've learned to buy only from honest sellers who offer a "no questions asked" return policy. Live and learn.
Bottom line is that, as a buyer, I'm not concerned when or if sellers leave feedback. Most do. It's always positive unless there was a problem with the transaction. I'm not reluctant to NEG a bad seller, and the threat of retalatory feedback is of no concern to me. I sense that most buyers are too leinient, and that more neutrals and NEGs are warranted.
Yes, i care about the feedback. However, I will look at the negs to see if they are recent. I'll also note the quantity. Sometimes I'll actually go back and see what was the cause of the past problem between buyer and seller. In general, past negs mean I'll pass on their auction.
