I think I'm going to get into "Sticker" dollars...

I've aquired a couple as of late and they strike my fancy. I'm determined to aquire all that I can, regardless of the price.
Does anyone object...
(Note; If you really want to co-exist, please start sending me PMs with 'dupes' that you don't want on Ebay for the time being...)

I'm dthigpen and I have yet to start pursuing them on Ebay, though I am willing to peacefully coexist. Like I said, as long as you provide me with adequite leads on 'dupes' for you, I'll be more than happy to refrain from what you're going after.

Oh... Now I get it. I had a roll of these from all over the US, mostly Nevada.
I soaked 'em in acetone for weeks to get the dam stickers off.
you mean that they were worth something before I sold the coins for melt?

Boxer Eddie Bohn's Pig `N' Whistle motel/restaurant was the most fabulous stop on the Fabulous Colfax 40 strip, the longest Avenue in the world at 26 miles running thru the heart of Denver. The restaurant was littered with autographed photos of famous people Eddie knew But after I-70 drew off the tourist traffic and this stretch of Colfax turned into one used-car lot after another, Bohn was fighting a losing battle. His place closed up almost immediately after he died in 1991...
He opened the place on Jack Dempsey's birthday in 1926. Bohn was a friend and sparring partner with the champion boxer...
The movie "Every Which Way But Loose" (1978), Clint Eastwood's classic, featured Eddie Bohn's Pig-N-Whistle on West Colfax. At the time I was 20 years old and lived two blocks away, it was a big deal when I got to meet Clint and his famous orangutan side-kick...
The place still stands today ( I now live 14 blocks away ) but the restaurant never reopened, the gas station is a detail shop and the motel is a low rent flop house. There are plans to redevelop the Colfax corridor back to it's famous neon 50's glory but it's going to take some time...
Sorry about the ramble but man that brought back some memories..."-)
