Fill me in on 1995 DD Lincoln cents

  Rick: NGC did a horrible job grading those 1995 DDO's. They really overgraded them, compared to PCGS. NGC also had an awful time with the 1983 DDR's. Simply awful.
  
  Stay away from those NGC ones. The PCGS ones especially in the earlier green inserts are much nicer but cost more and are worth it.
  
  Major variety? Well in a word, no but it is a good starter one to own and if you intend to own the 1984 DDO, 1983 DDR, 1972 DDO and 1955 DDO then the 1995 DDO cent is a nice one to have, as well.

  I agree, not major, and there are lots of them. A 68 would be reasonably priced, you might want to get that grade instead. A nicer 1995 ddo is the 1995d die 3, very hard to come by, the doubling is as nice, and the mintmark is doubled also, though not an rpm. Quite interesting variety, although much more expensive.

  Hey Rick, great advice by oreville (as usual), but let me add that you can still pick up nice examples raw for a fraction of the price. Here is an example of a raw piece you could pick up for slightly more than the cost of the slabbing fees.

  Man they just don't make em' like they used to! A '55 double die, now that's a variety - I get that 'better stop with the martinis now or I'm gonna be sorry' feeling everytime I look at one. When I looked at that '95 double pic, I kinda think 'no wonder my wife thinks I'm a geek.' (No offense intended to any fans of the issue.)
