Silver Quarter advice needed

i have around $80 in 1964 and before silver quarters i am considering selling. some are in great condition should i be keeping some aside to get graded instead of just selling them for the silver rate? thanks sorry i dont really collect coins alot just what i pick up like at work and stuff so need some advice. i collect signed baseballs and other signed memorabilia from sports.

  • also is there certain years that i should look for that are worth more? i have more than $80 worth but i plan on keeping one from each year if i do sell them.

It's probably not worth the effort of slabbing many. Check for better dates and uncs of
any date in high grade. Don't slab anything unless it's worth more than the cost of slab-
ing and even then some coins (Like an AU '40-D) don't need slabbed.

You might want to check for varieties as well.

    Welcome aboard.

  • 1932 is a year to look out for. If you got these quarters in change it is unlikely any will be nice enough to command a big premium over melt value.

Can you take photos of the nicest one?
  • thanks

I suggest to keep what you like, and sell the rest. JMO

  • what was happening was they were coming in rolls of quarters from the bank. some would have none, one, all they way up to rolls full!!! i think someone turned in a bunch at the local bank and they got put in rolls and circulated to businesses and what not. it was fun for sure, i also got some of the pre 32 quarters!!!
