Always took candy from strangers Didn't wanna get me no trade Never want to be like papa Working for the boss every night and day --"Happy", by the Rolling Stones (1972)
I have updated my website to include all three major collection links on the front page [note: if something doesn't work, please let me know]. Feel free to browse the images!
Absolutely beautiful. Do most 73CC trade dollars have a softer strike on the upper stars and head area? Seems like most trade dollars of all dates have strike issues in the head area.
Yes, it's quite common for type I reverse trade dollars [those with the berry under the claw] to have softly struck heads and upper stars. In 1875 & 76 they transitioned in the type II reverse which is almost always fully struck [except for 1877 at Philadelphia, which is another story].
What are the chances of you adopting me and willing me the 1872 dated dollars ??? I asked Allegri the other day the same question, but he shot me down.
Not much of a stretch...we are practically brothers now, being Navy guys and all.

The size shown above and the huge size - the 'big enough to create a poster for the wall' size.
