Had some time today to enhance my photo skills.....opinions please.

Had some time today to play around with the settings on my Nikon D70. What do you think of these shots?

This coin is a PCGS MS66. Nice bright white coin. No cameo. Not PL.

A bit overexposed. Some of the luster looks like it maxxed out the CCD, especially on the top one.

What do you use for lighting?

How do you get the light not to give off glare back in to the camera at the straight on angle?

How do you get the whole coin evenly lit?

The light set up is almost on top of the coin with the lights angled slightly away from the target. My tripod is positioned right on top of the coin and is above the lighting so I am shooting between the lights. I will take a shot of the set-up and include it later.....so I take it you think the lighting is good. I also use a flat black paper as the base so not to reflect the lights either. The bulbs a Reveal. 2 Lights.

They look a bit blurry. If you'r eusing Photoshop, try the smart sharpen or unsharp mask and then reduce with Bicubic Sharper.
