Sunday Coin Show Report

The roads were kind of icy from the ice storm on Saturday and boy was it cold! There was a lot more people than usually and there seemed to be a lot of interest in 2004 and 2005 mint products. My brother made a nice profit off two PCGS coins doubling what he paid for it. The first dealer bashed it saying it was over graded, and was corroding. He did not despair and was resilent and went to a second dealer where he got a good deal for them. I bought a 1905 NGC AU-55 dime for 60 dollars. It is original with nice blue and purple toning on the obverse and a rim tone on the reverse. It still has nice cartwheel luster. It is really neat. I would post a picture, but my good camera is hooked up to another computer which is dead! The guy i bought it from was very informative. I had not seen him before. I also sold some rolls of 2005 unc nickels i had got from the bank and got a bunch of walking liberty half dollars from a 25% off bargain box. That was about it! image

Nice report. What show was it?

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Nothing special, a small one in Dayton. It is the only one my dad will take me to because the others are to far away for him. image
