Which dealer plays a big role in the market today

It can be adealer which attends many shows, pays best, is a major bidder at auction, sells great rarity's, sells coins in volume or has the best customers. Or anything else.

I would imagine that it depends on which part of the market that you are talking about.

  • I doesn't matter in which part of the market. I should of specified that.

Some examples being Rare Coin Wholsalers owning buying and selling million dollar rarities. David Lawrence for having a large inventory in different series. Fairtraders for example selling in volume. Some attending all shows more than others. Others attending most auctions these are just some examples.
  • Like it or not, Coast to Coast sells a lot of coins in their realm of whatever.

There are plenty of dealers and numismatic firms that fit the mold you described. More than half of them are people or companies that the average collector has never heard of.
