Hmm will make this a question / random pick type give away. As per usual the Winner get the book (Brand New) sent to them via DHL. I did flip through it and looks like a solid read...This is the 3rd or 4th Book giveaway with more to come...

First thing that comes to mind is the Peace Dollar relief was lowered in 1922 because the friggin' dies kept screwing up. Oh wait, am I doing this wrong?

I will go on the number of different dies used during the production of the 1922 Wheat Penney..

No Philly cents minted, yet we have a 1922 plain lincoln due to the "D" on the die having eroded and being "phantom"

Mint employees over polished the die for the cent. Therefore, creating a valuable coin for the future.

On December 20, 1922 the formation of the USSR, "The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" united Russia, the Ukraine, Byelorussia, and Transcaucasia into one federation. Under the reorganization the member states retained some cultural autonomy, but political power was firmly concentrated in Moscow, coinage was changed.

The mint was so preoccupied and busy producing Peace dollars to replace the morgans that were melted that there was little time to mint much else except for some cents (no nickels, dimes, quarters, or halves minted that year).
