Opinions please? Roosevelt dime. AT or NT? *Grades in 12/2: 66fb, plus 49d/s 5c ms66, 2-66 Frankies*

I'm not sure. Battled with a couple forum roosie bigs for it, description said album toned. Didn't this coin come up in another thread a while back?

Not sure but sure looks strange. I'm the type of person that would dip that one in some type of cleaner. Of course when it's my own collection I don't care I just want all the coins to look the same. I've always wondered why a silver coin would turn reddish.

    Also, found a 1949d/s 5c fs-032 in a mint set, graded ms66, top pop

And ms66 on these 1958 and 1953 Franklins, 53 is top pop

NT for few reasons. Although the color looks wild in the photo, everything else seems to add up.

    1. There are contact marks that aren't toned.

    2. The rims aren't toned.

    3. The right twig on the reverse higher points is nearly untoned with a little lime green while an area of magenta is toning around it.

    4. There are no funky lemony yellow or bright blue areas.

Greg, that's best answered by quoting Governor William J. LePetomaine in Blazing Saddles: "Work, work, work..."

Actually, I practice catch and release collecting, and throw the ugly ones back.

Dennis, the Jefferson is the one I am most pleased with. As primarily a variety collector who dabbles in toners, to find a biggie like this in a mint set bought for the toning is real sweet.
