Advice on Silver Dimes

I have about $120 face in Merc/Roosie Dimes, there are about 825 Roosies and around 375 Mercs. About four rolls of Roosies are Unc. Do you think that I should sell the 90% silver and invest in another coin/other coins or do you think I should hold on to them and hope that silver goes higher? If I were to sell them, about what is a good price to look for? Any advice is appreciated
Thanks,
Ben

I guess that I should go dump all of my dimes NOW! The dealer is offering 5.7X face

Nah... pretty common stuff... The uncs have an average grade of 63-ish

Ahhh Ben... maybe I should
<< <i>Take them to your local dealer and sell them all at once. The dealers tend to pay more for large lots. You'll get less than melt but will have some money to spend on something decent. >>
Okay, but I when I asked for a quote yesterday, the coin shop just said "I will pay you 57 cents each for your dimes" without asking for the quantity. If you really think that I should sell them all at once, I'll have my dad drive me there right now to sell the dimes.
<< <i>Be carefull with what you do with them. Have you checked them out for errors? There are a growing number of error coin collectors poping up nowadays. Check out the large and small mint marks also. However as pointed out to me some years ago, the Merc dime is famous for reverse orientation missalignments. I checked out all of mine and actually estimate that about 10 to 20% of the reverses are at least 10 to 20% off from the obverse. One was at least 35% offset. Some of these are beginning to be valuable. At one coin show around here each month there is a dealer that has numerous error coins and sells them for very high prices. There is a large growing interest in coins and around here there are at least one coin show a weekend. One flea market has 6 coin dealers. One of them sells the very common, very poor condition Merc Dimes for at least $1 to $5 each and sells them out every week. Where he gets his supply is a mystery. As I said be carefull on how you and if you liquidate that stuff. >>
Very interesting. I did look through some for major errors, and I did find a Roosevelt dime with a 50% struck through a foreign object on the reverse. I have not looked hard for RPM/RPDs, or DDO/DDRs. If you have any suggestions on what to look for, I'd appreciate that.
Thanks
