  hmmmm.... same title to the thread too.
  the mystery continues though..
  i've got one from 97. I've followed them on ebay for a month or so
  trying to glean some info out of a listing or something.
  They don't go for any money but that wasn't why i was interested.
  Just really strange. I don't know how many of them were minted and if
  these were included in the numbers for uncirculated mint sets.
  any just any other kind of strange info about them.
  i think the kennedy might be ah also..........just kiddin

  I'm reasonably confident that these were privately assembled for sale to banks
  for retail or as premiums to their customers. I've never seen any evidence of
  mint involvement except that they are composed of mint set coins and contain
  a mint set token.
