Coppercoins has it exactly right. I got it done at the Renaissance festival. Every year they have the Renaissance festival and one of the things they have is a primitive coin press where a weight is dropped onto coin dies to make souvenir coins which are then made into necklaces. They have all sorts of designs, one of which is an American Eagle. Last year I tried to get them to overstrike something onto a State Quarter but they said the metal was too hard and it might damage their dies. So this year I brought them a nice soft copper two pence and they did it for me. They only lifted the weight about a foot and a half or so rather than the three feet or so they usually do, but overall it came out pretty well. I just thought it would be a fun conversation piece. I took it to our last coin club meeting and showed it to one guy. He looked at it strangely and then said he saw an eagle and that it was an error coin. I told him what it was and he laughed and said he had thought it was some rare overstrike image . I also passed it around for show and tell but I told people what it was beforehand.

I just did a quick search and found a site that has pictures of the Renaissance Festival Coin Maker and his press. Here is the link Link . If you watch the changing picture on the bottom right side of the screen you will see the Eagle Coin image Here is another link that shows more info on the coin maker Another link

Pretty cool...I hate to rain on the guessing parade so quickly, but a quick search through all US coins made revealed nothing with that shape.

Actually my guess was just that - a guess, but an educated guess.
