Very cool addition - not a coin, but coin related

Just picked this up on a bid board. Fits in well with my half dime collection and interest in Chicago history. It says "The Continental and Commercial Banks Chicago" and is for half dimes. Anyone know anything about this and how rare it might be?

The name is LEE!
This is a half dime "bank" for better explaination. You could keep half dimes in this little holder. It probably holds 20 or so although I haven't tried it. What I am not sure of is if this was used at the bank, or was given to customers or stores.
If you check the National Bank Note references, they state that the usage of the name "Continental and Commercial Bank" did not begin until a merger in 1910. It changed names again in 1927, placing this interesting advertising item in the era of 1910 to 1927. They issued notes in the Third Charter period, and they're not terribly rare today. The two together might make a neat exhibit at a Chicago-area coin show.
This is a cool thing -- very cool. It's nice to see some other people collecting numismatic go-withs that don't fit in slabs.
Congrats on the purchase!

You Suck.
Cool item.
<< <i>Are you sure its not a PEZ dispenser?
Um, yeah. Just tried it. Doesn't work.

Really cool find.
<< <i>Very cool. Were half dimes still commonly used in circulation circa 1910 -1927? >>
I don't know. It would seem a bit odd that they would have circulated enough for the need to have a thing like this. Especially because nickels were around then.
