The upper leaf is doubled on the Right, The wheat leafs are all doubled ,
It Has all the Marking's of a vam 38 obv and rev
except The triple blossom and leafs and wheat leafs..
known markers were present.
I would expect the vam-38 obverse markers would be missing if this is a new obverse, especially the
die marker in Y of LIBERTY. Based on Leroy has written me, the markers take precedence, so I'd have to say it's a VAM-38 with a strike anomaly to explain the tripled blossoms.
Too bad. No new 7/8 tailfeather vams have been found in many, many years. When I say that, I
don't count clashes which are technically die states not new obverse or reverses.

But A Triple Blossom That is Major ..
Well it is one of three things here.
1. It is a vam 38 and leroy left this out of the desciption (most likley)
2. a new discovery 38 A or B
3. It is a vam 44c
I dont get my hopes up any more

Here's my VAM-38
Obverse, doubled rib
Obverse cotton bolls
Reverse tailfeathers and arrow point to "blobby" that I use to pick out the reverse
Definitely not a VAM-44 reverse and the leaves don't match the VAM-44 so its not a V44 obverse die. Looks like my VAM-38 so I think it is option #1. Sorry.
