You wanted to capture luster on a proof?

The obverse looks DCAM, the reverse CAM, but it's painfully hard to determine from photos. If you want to capture the mirors and frost properly, you probably need to take the coin out of the holder.

  • The scan just does not look as sharp as the coin does in hand.

After you remove it from the holder check it for hairlines.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • I took it out of the holder before i scanned it the way it was. The coin is spotless. no hairlines. anything in the pic is on the holder. i use adobe photodeluxe and you really have to pay aroung with it to try and get the luster just right. these opics arethe best representation I could get with this program/scanner.
