Marine Commemoratives - Topping out WHERE?

I ended up with 3 Marine Commem proofs. I plan to sell them all as I had already purchased one graded.
I put one up on eBay for a little over the top price any had sold for so far... $63. It sold in 5 minutes!
So, I am thinking, I'll bring the market up even higher. I put one up for $83. It sold in 3 hours!
What gives? Should I put the remaining one up for $103 and see how it goes? Do you think these will go even higher than that?

Sorry to discuss Modern stuff, but I would like other's opinions on where the market will top out.

  • I'm thinking since people are xmas shopping, the "Buy It Now" option is a good idea for this particular commem.

  • Try listing them at $125! I think the market will bear it.

At a show on Saturday in San Antonio I observed on gentleman go from dealer to dealer asking for one Marine Commem. None of the dealers had them (for sale, at least). I agree that you can't go wrong asking for more. Buyers can go wrong by paying more, but that's another story. Why stop at $103? Why not price them at $150 and allow people to submit a best offer?

  • I've got 2 proofs and 2 uncircs on the bay right now and I think that by the time the auctions end next Monday night they will be approaching $100 or more. They appear to be going the way of the buffalo. This is also a really good time of the year with the holidays approaching to sell these. Who knows?

Edited to add: several have now gone for over $70, with one proof for $95! Wow!
Everything I write is my opinion.

    Looking for alot of crap.

Well, think of all of the former Marines alone out there who would like one, I would.

Hat's off to you. The mint should have given every Marine, past and present a coin.
  • While you have a few spot sales above $75 the average seems to be around $65.
You can buy a hundred plus for $75.
