Just messing around, I figured I needed a place to gather all my artwork together in one place and make it available to the public. I've spent about the last hour and a half on this, nothing big, but it's there anyway...

Any plans on doing atistic rendition of just the designs of the coin? There is no known image of John Reich in existance but I think a drawing of all the different bust types he designed could be very cool.

I think you should be very pleased with yourself. You did a nice job displaying and offering your artwork. I don't have to tell you that you are very talented, for I am sure you already know this.

I have been asked if I intend on doing any artwork of just the coins. My response at this point would have to be that I really just don't see artwork of coins as a marketable idea. I may be wrong - perhaps enough people here could talk me into it that I just might end up doing something about it.

Actually my artistic energy has pushed me to the point that I have spent more time on it lately than I should, I do have a lot of other priorities that need attention. I have decided to give the pencil a break until I return from the Baltimore show. I have two works planned for right now, what follows is anybody's guess. I do plan on finding the time to do at least another six by mid-year 2006. Included will be at least a few deisgners, then some other numismatic related work that I just "want to do".

Another thing that has spurred from this burst of creative energy is a commission to draw at least half a dozen portraits of some of our more famous Presidents - not sure whether I will make prints of those avaialable at this point.

The next work I have planned will be a creative rendition of the $5 educational series silver certificate. The note will be in fading perspective, as if laying on a table. The vignette will "pop out" of the note and come to life in the drawing.

The work following that will be the third in the coin designer series, James B. Longacre. I will be including a montage of his coin designs in the background in a different way than in the past - the background will be covered with images of actual coins of his design.

I have been asked about a number of other designers. On the list of possibilities are Gasparro, MacNeil, DeFrancisci, Schlag, and Weinman. Others may follow, but we're talking at least a year from now before those become an issue.

I think I would extremely interested in a George Washington if you were so inclined to do one of those.

My earlier thought was of some type of collage (similar to the St. Gaudens you did) with the bust of the Capped Bust silver, Classic Head copper and Capped Bust gold...all designed by John Reich. Just a though, could be neat.

That sounds like a good idea, I'll have to mull it over in my head then work on something come February.

Washington will be the first of the presidents I will draw. I may do a limited edition of 100 (at most) of them. We will see how it goes. At any rate, I intend on doing them in enough detail so as to make them more detailed than most images available of them.
