In PSA's defense, it was a 5 card submission, so I can understand why it's taking so long.image

I guess I'm just spoiled. I've submitted about 2 dozen times over the last year under various specials, and every single one was posted and in the mail back to me within 7 business days.

My submission was received 11/04 and I am checking a lot more than 3 times a day. I check at least once an hour at work and check at home until 10:00 at night (west coast time is 6:00). I figure if nothing by 10:00, then nothing until the following day.

  • Guys,

I know the feeling. My last submission was a vintage common 45 business day special and it took them 43 business days, over two months. I began checking after about two weeks and thought it would never get done. I have another on a 45 business day special and it has been 41 business days as of today. I was spoiled too, using this level for a number of submissions the past two years and almost always getting the cards back in 3 to 4 weeks. I can't complain though. They are still making their deadline. If I wanted it faster, I could always pay for the quicker service.

    Still checking and waiting daily.

  • Hey November submitters!

Don't get too excited about quick turnarounds! I have a 33 card submission from 10/10 and a 12 card submission from 10/12 that have not been posted yet!! Things seem to be "slow" all of a sudden considering my last 5 submissions have all taken less than a week. Plus, I sent another submission on 10/18 and it was graded on 10/22.. Go figure!! It's there and back but the two sent in a week earlier are still not done!!! I really wonder what the pecking order is for grading???

I got lucky on the quick turnaround. I posted this on the other thread last week but here is my small submission with results. Good luck to you all!

There appears to be no pecking order. They seem to throw them in a pile, shuffle them, then take whatever happens to end up on the top. I think they do that with everyday's new submissions.

  • I sent a 20 card submission on 11/01/05, then a 25 card submission went out in yesterdays mail. I expect a slow turnaround. Most likely I will have a few "presents" to open on christmas morning.

Not as bad as MorrellMan and glossycrazy, but I too am still waiting on my October '70s Special (11 Topps cards submitted: 10 baseball HOFers from 1970-1974 and a '71 Bradshaw rookie):

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to what gets posted when: big, small, one sport, mixed sports...doesn't seem to matter...

Oh well, I'll keep checking every day after 2pm (EST). Does anyone know if PSA posts grades ONLY ~11am PST or periodically throughout the day AFTER 11am PST?

  • Here is a 10 day submission, that got done in 6 business days. Not patient enough to do a $5/open turnaround submission on such a small submission. Nice little 7 point gain on the Payton Master set (should go to 9.31 GPA).

My 1950's sub. dated 11/2 just popped. I had both a 1954 and a 1955 Bobby Adams crack and resubmit downgraded to 6's from 7's when I thought they should be 8's. Do they have something against the guy?

    sub. # 582321
    zip 10606

Not one of the better subs. I think G.O.D. got this one. Got a '54 Turley upgrade from 7 to 8 and 3 lower level upgrades but also those two killer downgrades. And the brutally tough '54 Buster Mills Evid of trimming image. I also got "evid of trimming" from a cracked GAI 8.5. The other two had gone from GAI 8 to GAI 8 with no problem. Hmmmm.
