1st ever mailman pic post... barber folks
OK, am I gettin' on the right trail hunting down these birds? forthright opinions on the coin/grade appreciated! The bottom of the headband is pretty muchall there, satiny finish of the bust I have not encountered before--but also still fairly new at these grades.

You should have seen the envelope this came in; and it was about a week and half later than I was expecting, getting a tad worried. Our #3 child loves to get the mail and he was carrying on " I didn't do it, I didn't do it." Either someone spilled their latte` on it after a machine tried to eat it, or the P.O. was running short of T.P. again out here in the country
"What does it smell like?" I say to #3. "Nuthin" came back the reply. "Ok, go ahead and open it, you already touched it anyway."

Do your best to avoid circular arguments, as it will help you reason better, because better reasoning is often a result of avoiding circular arguments.

Did I mention that I love Barbers?
I say minimum VF20 and have a good chance for VF25.
Nice coin. I agree with Michael, I also think its a solid VF20 but original coins like this one will command a VF35 price. And well worth it IMHO.

Coin collecting is not a hobby, it's an obsession !
New Barber Purchases
I would grade the coin VF20-25, with the reverse looking much like a VF30, but it could easily get a VF35 at PCGS. That is a great find for a collector just starting with the Barber half series.
Well Don, looks like you have conquered the series and have nothing more to prove to anyone or to yourself. It is probably time to just sell off the set and move on to another challenging series.

Yep, a whole 1 out of 50 or so tries, Tyler. Maybe I 'll post some of my typical specimens for grading fun when I get a chance now I got my cheapo scanner up and running, ... if I don't sell them off by next week. I wish I had never seen these things, esp that 1895 o pCGS F 15 dirt bag that got me hooked. I wish I'd never asked you any questions. That' s today's feelings.
Tomorrow, I'll bet I'll be searching Google again for another yet found dealer 'out there somewhere.'
