Do you think it is accurated graded?
I am a Morgan beginner, still learning on grading.
MS65, it better be a nice coin. i hope you did not pay strong money for it.
tell us you snagged it for 25 bucks

Numismatics: Thanks for the compliment. I really won't know if it is accurately graded until its in hand. With the older ANACS holders, usually the grade is dead on if not slightly conservative. I'll let you know when it arrives.

one of the few morgan dollars ever posted on these forums that i actually liked
I'll take a picture and post it when it arrives to compare contrast and color.

Baj: That 1885-S is really pretty!! The toning makes it look quite distinctive compared to blast white examples. The beautiful brown peripheral rim-toning reminds me of many Morgans that I've seen in either old "fat" NGC holders or ANACS holdered coins.
I'm assuming it's either an MS-65 or a very high-end 64. Very Pretty!!

BTW Drunner: You are absolutely correct about the older ANA holders. Something is going on in there with the insert. Each one I have and I have seen at shows exhibits some type of purple/blue/red toning above Liberty and below the eagle. I love it!!
