Question about selling to a dealer

I am curious as to how much the average dealer wants to make on a coin. I have a 1924 St Gaudens gold coin( not graded). Let's say it is a MS 63 and lists for $800. What do you think I the average dealer would pay?

I am selling the coin and don't want to go through Ebay....but also don't want to get burned either.

Thanks

Craig

If it's an MS63 you should get it graded. The 24 is one of the most common saints and raw wouldn't bring much over $500 on Ebay. With all the fakes out there you have to be careful with it being raw. Most dealer will have enough 24's they won't pay much over gold for it unless it's a higher grade coin and MS63 right about where you might get $600-$625 if in a PCGS holder IMO.

Yep, I agree. If you want any where near MS63 money for your Saint you will have to get it graded by either ANACS, NGC or PCGS.
