Found an article printed in "The Chattanoogan.com".
Stated "First Horizon Mint Distribution/First Tennessee Bank is the only financial institution licensed to sell official US Mint licensed products" Goes on to say selling uncirculated Sacs, unc. state quarters nickels, jewelry, bookmarks, keyrings, gold and platinum pendants, cufflinks. I assume they are selling the leftover Kennedy and Sac bags from 2002, 2003 2004, etc.
Any one get any prices??
Yep, that is the same. I remember thinking it was strange that the mint would have a kiosk in the mall (Cool Springs Galleria) but when I talked with them I figured out it was First Tennessee Bank. I can't remember what their prices were like, but I am pretty sure there were no discounts there.
<< <i>First Horizon Mint Distribution/First Tennessee Bank is the only financial institution licensed to sell official U.S. Mint-licensed products. Both locations offer many rare finds including un-circulated state quarters and golden Sacagawea dollars and nickels. >>
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
For example, like the Mint, they sell state quarter rolls in special "official" paper. However, it is a different paper from that used for the rolls sold by the Mint directly to the public. And the rolls are sold in a mini-album of sorts. That is the only packaging option available. They also sell bags of nickels, halves and dollars. However, the print on the bags is different from that sold by the mint and the quantities of coins contained in the bags differ. Also, they are not allowed, for example, to open a bag, wrap the coins and sell them as machine wrapped rolls.
In addition to a TN bank, a former Director of the US Mint is also involved in the enterprise.

I had heard you could get 2004 Sacs. and Kennedys from them for less than the mint had charged.
If true, would be wise to wait and buy your 2005 Sacs. and Kennedys from them instead of from the mint.
That is true. The half dollars are available in 2000 count bags and the dollars in 1000 count bags. I do not believe they are avialable from First Horizon in any other combinations.
