Interesting mis-communication error.. what should I do?

p8ntp8nt Posts: 2,947 ✭✭✭
I sold a coin on Ebay on Sunday. The buyer promptly paid... twice. I refunded the second payment, emailed him, and left him a note with Paypal letting him know of the error. I got home today to find he has paid a 3rd time. I am beginning to think it is some sort of test or something...

Refund again through Paypal? Ship his coin with a refund in the package? What should I do?

Who is the buyer ? Link the auction. I had the same exact thing happen about 2 years ago. It was for a coin also.

Use the Ebay contact information and call the buyer.

Yep, I had the exact same thing happen to me a few years ago.

The guy was a new ebay'er. Paid me twice, i refunded one, he paid me again. I refunded that one also and sent him several emails thanking him for his diligence in making sure i got paid. image

We get it all straightened out, i send his item, he receives it and gives me a neutral feedback saying i screwed up the transaction !!?

    What a moron !

No worries mate. Simply keep a good communication flow and refund what is not yours.
