POLL: Do you check WI quarters found in change?

It's fast approaching a year since the extra leaf WI quarters were discovered, the first sightings were reported 10 months ago.

Do you give any special attention to WI quarters found in change?

    Since San Antonio was one of the locations where they were reported, I check every time I see the cow and cheese. No luck so far.

    I check every one. But I check every coin I get in change.

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    I check them all the time...........if I ever find one........I'm gonna run to the coin shop and sell it.

    Let somebody else pay all that money for a simple die gouge.

    Knowing that these coins only showed up in San Antonio and Tucson, I really haven't looked in my change at all (I'm in Omaha). I have purchased several on ebay though. Interesting to note: There was one I bought for $75. from a girl who never did leave me feedback (ticked me off, too), I sent them all in to PCGS. That $75 dollar Wisconsin Low Leaf came back MS66 and I sold it for $867.

    I still don't look in my pocket change, but I always keep my eye out on ebay for NEWBIES selling them or any other coins that may be of interest image

    Yeah, I never any Wisconsin quarters here, from either mint. I couldn't tell you why.

    I check them when I see them, and I also have found one of each.

    I've never received one in change. I always look at my change - but no WI quarters yet.

    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    At work, we were making the low and high leaf errors by scratching the leaves into the coins...at least it will add a little excitement to someones life for a brief moment. image

    We had one co-worker all pumped up...he thought that he found one in the coffee fund money box. He was a good sport about it, but I suppose that one of these days my locker will have a bent bolt through the locking hole or my gloves will be filled with anti-seize.

    Yep, even though I'm not in the area where they were discovered and so far I've found none, I check them when I see them. I give them the same attention that I give looking for silver coins and 98, 99 and 2000 P lincolns looking for wide AM's (I found one 98 so far). You never know......one of these days. image
