Did the results from the big Presidential Review from a couple months ago ever post?

I don't think they ever did and I was very interested in the results. At this point I'm guessing not but I thought DH was going to announce his findings.

I was wondering the same thing the other day.

Not posted yet. Unless I missed it, which is possible since I spend so little time here.

I haven't seen it, but Russ, you had some coins under Presidential review. Did your grades get changed?
  • I sent 12 coins for the free review and still haven't heard a word.

Have you tried looking up any of the coins' old serial numbers to see if they've changed? I've had luck before doing that.
    When in doubt, don't.
  • I'm just curious if the coins being looked at in the prescribed time frame were undergraded or correctly graded. Has to be one or the other. Maybe it sounded like a good idea a couple of months ago but now it is supposed to go quietly away. Either people who were griping (including myself) were mistaken or things have tightened in some areas. I'd just like to know. Based on my prior 2 submissions (and this is my own opinion) it appears that coins in the series I primarily submit under (SMS coins from 1965-67)....the standards to which cameo designations are measured are not the same. Look at some of Russ's posts. Its not just me and its not that I was submitting lower quality coins.

Are you saying that PCGS still has your coins AND no grades????? Russ is that the same story with your coins? Anybody else?
  • I think everybody is waiting anxiously to hear from Hall (Blessed Be His Name) on this subject.

It seems to be taking longer than anyone expected. Maybe he is sending them thru the process multiple times to see if the drift is any greater than normal?

Dave's waiting to ship them back with a complementory copy of the CPG vol. 2.
  • I didn't bother. I'm just a little guy, so I expected nothing.

I thought that time frame was contrived anyway. Most of the damge had been done earlier.

I sent then across the street. They came back quickly and with the proper grades. Imagine that!

The Presidential review will be published soon after the Cherry Pickers Guide Vol 2.

  • I had forgotten about this......guess that is what was supposed to happen. Maybe six months isn't enough time. I'll post the thread again in a couple of years...

I hear some received results. It has never been mentioned if they were good results or bad. Repeated questions to a few individuals without answers leaves me wondering how the results came out. It makes me wonder if there was a bump in grade and a request by PCGS to keep it quiet. Otherwise, why wouldn't this all come out? Certainly there were a few people within this forum who sent coins in and certainly ahve them back by now. Yet no one is sharing the results. Since when does anyone on this forum keep quiet?
