Ebay "Buy it now" Strategy Question

Is it worthwhile to list a coin in BIN for a week or two with a 10-20% markup and then bring it to a NR .99c auction in subsequent weeks? Seems to me like this strategy would drive the final price up b/c: 1) more visibility, 2) and artificially high price might influence buyers to bid higher, and 3) the off chance that someone would exercise the BIN at your marked up price.
